  • WHAT IS THE GOAL OF ABA THERAPY?
ABA therapy supports autistic individuals and their families in achieving their goals and enhancing their quality of life. Backed by extensive research, ABA-based interventions target social, communication, play, and adaptive skills. These services are personalized, incorporating the needs and interests of the individual and their caregiver(s). A behavior analyst, assisted by behavior technicians, delivers the therapy, which evolves over time based on the individual's feedback. Services are tailored to the unique needs of each individual, with a distinction between children and adults due to their changing requirements.
  • HOW MANY HOURS OF ABA THERAPY WILL MY CHILD RECIEVE?
The scheduling of your child's therapy hours will be a collaborative decision between you and your behavior analyst. Based on a thorough assessment of your child's needs, input from other therapies received, and your feedback as the parent/caregiver, the behavior analyst will recommend the appropriate number of hours. Focused programs typically range from 10 to 25 hours per week, while comprehensive programs generally range from 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • DOES NEXT LEVEL ABA INDIVIDUALIZE SERVICES?
Most Definitely, at Next Level ABA, we wholeheartedly embrace the uniqueness of each autistic individual we work with. We strongly believe in celebrating their individuality and  our primary objective is to promote and incorporate their individual interests into their ABA therapy. Our behavior analysts provide personalized recommendations for services, including customized goals and hours tailored to meet the specific needs of the child. Our behavior therapists receive comprehensive training on understanding the preferences of their clients, ensuring that therapy sessions are enjoyable, rewarding, and engaging by incorporating those interests. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment that celebrates the strengths and passions of each individual we serve.
  • WILL YOU REQUIRE MY CHILD TO DO DISCRETE TRIAL AND SIT AT A TABLE?
At Next Level ABA, we understand that not all autistic individuals thrive in traditional discrete trial or table-top settings. We recognize that each individual is unique, and their therapy approach should reflect that. For instance, a lively two-year-old with abundant energy may benefit more from a play-based approach, where the therapist joins them on the floor and incorporates learning opportunities into their favorite play activities. Our behavior analysts prioritize assessing the specific needs of each individual and actively collaborate with the family to identify the most effective treatment approach for the child. We believe in tailoring the therapy to best suit the child's preferences and abilities, ensuring a personalized and engaging experience that maximizes their progress and enjoyment.
  • ARE THERE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ABA THERAPY?
When considering the cost of ABA therapy services, it is advisable to begin by checking with your insurance provider. Coverage and associated costs can vary depending on your insurance plan and provider. Contacting your insurance company will help you understand the specifics of your coverage for ABA therapy and any out-of-pocket expenses you may incur. Additionally, reaching out to ABA therapy providers in your area will allow you to gather information about their pricing structure and potential financial assistance options that may be available. They can provide you with more details on the cost of services based on factors such as location, duration of sessions, and the specific services provided. It is important to remember that while there may be costs associated with ABA therapy, the investment can lead to significant positive outcomes, enhancing the well-being and development of individuals with autism.
  • WHY DO SOME FEEL ABA THERAPY IS NOT A GOOD CHOICE?
Some people may have concerns or criticisms regarding ABA therapy, and it's important to acknowledge and respect diverse perspectives within the field. At Next Level ABA, we recognize the importance of open dialogue and collaboration with parents and caregivers to address these concerns. We work closely with families to ensure that proper expectations are set and that the therapy approach aligns with their values and goals.
